Who was this project for?

sushisoul.pl is a sushi restaurant in Łódź. It wanted a coherent brand online: website, menu, booking, reviews and map in one ecosystem instead of several disconnected pieces.

In hospitality, the “where shall we eat tonight” decision usually happens on a phone, in a few minutes, based on Google and Maps results. If you're not high in local results, for many guests you simply don't exist.

What problem did the restaurant have?

Competition in the “sushi” category in Łódź is 40+ venues. The restaurant sat at position 15+ in Google Maps, had an outdated website without online booking and an incomplete Google Business Profile. Guests looking for it found partial information and had to phone.

What were the project goals?

The business goal was simple: more guests from Google. We broke it into four operational goals — get into the Maps local pack, launch online booking, let the team edit the menu themselves and collect reviews systematically after visits.

The site had to be fast and easy to maintain, because a restaurant has no IT department. Changing a price on the menu couldn't require a developer.

Diagram of the sushisoul.pl ecosystem: guests find the restaurant in Google and Maps thanks to a fully completed Google Business Profile and Schema.org markup; they land on a static Next.js site whose menu is refreshed via ISR from the Sanity CMS; they book a table in a calendar with SMS confirmation and POS integration; after the visit they get an SMS with a Google review link, which strengthens local rankings.
How it works: From search to table to review

How did we build the online ecosystem, step by step?

The solution has five parts: a static Next.js website, a booking system with SMS and POS integration, a menu in the Sanity CMS, full local SEO and review automation. Each one addresses one of the problems listed above.

1. Next.js website

A fast, static site with ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) for the menu. Static pages load instantly, and ISR refreshes just the menu page after a CMS change — without rebuilding the whole site.

2. Booking system

A table calendar, SMS confirmations and POS integration. Guests book in a few clicks at any time of day, get a confirmation, and staff see the booking in the system they already use on the floor.

3. Online menu with a CMS (Sanity)

Waiting staff can update prices without a developer. The menu on the site is always current, which matters both to guests and to Google.

4. Local SEO

A 100% completed Google Business Profile, Schema.org LocalBusiness + Restaurant markup and 50+ photos. Structured data tells the search engine explicitly that this is a restaurant, where it is and what it serves.

5. Review automation

After a visit, guests get an SMS with a link to leave a Google review. The ask arrives while the experience is fresh, and leaving a review takes seconds.

Why Next.js, Sanity and Schema.org?

Next.js delivers static-site speed without giving up fresh content, Sanity hands menu editing to the team, and Schema.org plus Google Business Profile build local visibility. With this setup the restaurant doesn't depend on an agency for day-to-day changes.

We explain local rankings in depth in our local SEO guide.

What results did the restaurant achieve?

After 4 months sushisoul.pl ranks #1 on Google for “sushi Łódź”, sits in the top 1–3 of Google Maps, online bookings are up 240% and the rating averages 4.8★ across 180+ reviews — up from 4.3 across 40.

These results feed each other. More reviews strengthen the Maps position, a higher position brings more guests, and every guest is another chance for a review. Online booking turns that visibility into occupied tables.

Who is a similar project right for?

This makes sense for restaurants, cafés and other hospitality venues that compete locally and today have a weak Maps position, an incomplete Google profile or phone-only bookings. The tougher the category, the more the whole ecosystem matters, not just the website.

We start with a 30-minute call and a look at how you appear on Google compared to competitors. Within 48 hours you get a brief with a timeline and fixed-price quote, then we build in two-week sprints with demos. After launch you get a 30-day warranty and optional Care support.

It's also worth remembering that well-structured venue data — opening hours, address, menu, reviews, Schema.org — helps not only on Google but in AI search engines that increasingly answer questions like “where to eat sushi in Łódź”.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a restaurant website with booking cost?

Websites start from €1,150, and larger sites from €3,500. Local SEO is a retainer from €450/mo, and a Google Business Profile setup alone starts from €90. The final price is fixed after the brief.

How quickly does local SEO show results?

In this project, after 4 months the restaurant ranked #1 for “sushi Łódź” and top 1–3 in Google Maps, starting from position 15+. The pace depends on competition and the starting state of the profile.

Can staff update menu prices themselves?

Yes. The menu runs on the Sanity CMS, so waiting staff update prices without a developer, and Next.js with ISR refreshes the menu page automatically.

How can a restaurant get more Google reviews?

Ask at the right moment. At sushisoul.pl guests get a post-visit SMS with a Google review link — reviews grew from 40 to 180+ and the average from 4.3 to 4.8.
